About:Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica

What documents are needed for China visa as explained below?

I am a US Citizen with permanent residence in Costa Rica. My husband and I are going on a cruise from alaska and will make two stops in China. I understand I need two visas, one photo, copy of my passport and residence card -is there any thing else i need? My brother is also going with us, he is an american citizen but resides in costa rica, he use to have his residence card but it is not active. can he also apply here and wht other documentation do you need him to submit. If you and your husband want to apply double entry China visa in Costa Rica, besides one photo, copy of your passport and residence card, you also need to provide the original passport and residence card, filled visa application form V.2011A and visa application form V.2011B, the copy of cruise itinerary from the cruise company.

I'm afraid that your brother can't get a China visa in Costa Rica because his residence card is not active.
