Sleeper train explained

Please explain what is a ‘ new’ soft sleeper as oppose to soft sleeper as mentioned when i want to do a booking from Guilin to Beijing?

You mean New Type Sleeper, right? Most sleepers, including soft sleepers are arranged vertical to the running direction of the train, while new type sleepers are arranged parallel. They are only available on bullet trains D902 and D901 running between Beijing and Shenzhen now. You can choose soft sleepers for your Guilin – Beijing travel.
