can i apply for chinese visa right at the airport when i'm there?

I will stay in Beijing for about 10hr before I fly to Canada. Can I apply for the visa at the airport and how much is it?

It is possible for you to get a China visa at the airport, but if time permits, you'd better apply for a China visa in advance in Canada. Fee is the same as you apply in canada. Anyway, if you will wait in the airport for the connecting flight, visa is not required.
