About:Chinese Consulate in Brisbane

Can we apply China visa by post or do we need to go in person to the Brisbane Consulate?

1. We are flying in and out of Guangzhou but would like to visit Hong Kong for 3 or 4 days at the end of our trip, is a 2 entry visa necessary? The planned visit including Hong Kong will put the duration over the 30 days, how should we apply.
2. Do we need to plan our accommodation in detail or can we just state our contacts in the places we are visiting.
3. Can we apply by post or do we need to go in person to the Brisbane Consulate.

1. if your travel itinerary is Guangzhou - Hong Kong - Guangzhou, a 2 entry China visa is required. If the stay duration per entry is 30 days, then everything is ok. Hong Kong and Mainland China apply different exit & enter controls. For the first entry to Guangzhou, you can stay in Mainland China for 30 days, if you return to Guangzhou from Hong Kong, you can also stay in Mainalnd China for 30 days. The stay duration in Hong Kong is not included. Australian nationals are exempt from a visa to Hong kong for 90 days.

2. You just state your contacts in the places you are visiting, you don't need to plan your accommodation in detail.

3. If you are ordinary passport holder, China consulate in Brisbane doesn't accept your visa application, you need to go to CVASC in Brisbane to submit visa application, if you can't come in person, you can entrust someone else to do it for you. You can also submit visa application to CVASC in Bribane by post, you can refer to http://www.visaforchina.org/BNE_EN/ to read more information.
