Hi I want to travel on a China tourist visa on 16 aug. Can I apply around the 7 Aug and hope to be granterd.

The regular processing takes 4 working days, but you need to submit yout application to CVASC on their working days. So, read https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/india.htm and check the office hours of the center where you are required to submit your application to.0
