visa for shanghai. i am going to be traveling on an indian passport.

I am planning to go to shanghai for a quick holiday this month. I just want to know is it the same procedure for people with foreign passports here. I am going to be traveling on an Indian passport. Does it take 4-5 days to process a visa or will it take longer for foreign nationals. Also do I need to have my ticket before hand for the visa process.

You can apply for China visa in Australia if you have valid Australian visa as well as entry record. The processing time is the same for foreigners as well for 4 working days in general. Return ticket is needed only if visa officers deem it necessary. But if it is helpful if you can prepare it in advance.
