About:Pingyao Travel

Questions concerning transportation in Shanxi

Would it be advisable to fly from Beijing to Taiyuan, spend a day or two in Pingyao and then fly from Taiyuan to Xi'an? I would rather not take the train.

Well, you could fly from Beijing to Taiyuan, and then transfer to Pingyao by bus. Finally, take a flight to Xian from Taiyuan. However, the bullet train from Beijiing to Taiyuan only takes 3.5 hours, more convenient than taking a flight.
