About:Chinese Embassies in Oceania

Informed today China South Airlines itinerary changed from Melbourne to Amsterdam, how do I get a Transit visa?

I with my wife travel to Europe with China South Airlines from Melbourne (Australia) in November, 2011, and was informed today that the flight times had changed for the swap of planes in China, and I would now need a Transit G for my wife (Dutch) and I (Australian) as we will be staying ovenight for the flight connection before we head to Amsterdam. Apparently the Airlines are paying for this, but I now need it apparently for us both. I get a little frustrated with the sponsored sites when googling to find the correct locations to contact and need to know who I can contact direct to get the required Visa's? I've just found out that my flight with China Southern Airlines stops at Guangzhou and at Beijing,
Plane 1: Melbourne to Guangzhou (4 hours in transit, no leaving airport)
Plane 2: Guangzhou to Beijing (1h 10m in transit, obviously no leaving airport), same plane Beijing to Amsterdam.

Would I need a transit visa under these circumstances? I'm guessing I do as it sounds like similar circumstances as the question asked by Emma above.

You and your wife can apply transit G through CVASC in Melbourne. Address:PART Ground Floor, 570 ST Kilda Rd., Melbourne, VIC 3004, Australia Tel:+61-3-9937-2308

Can you tell me which city will you transit? If you transit Shanghai for less than 48 hours, a transit visa is not required for citizens of Netherlands or Australia.

You'd better apply for a transit G in advance if you transit Guangzhou and Beijing even though you won't leave the airport.
