economic tour for 2-3 days from shanghai to beijing

Hi, i am planning to visit beijing in August 1 week with my friend. I would like to know apart from great wall and forbidden city, what other places we can see in total 2-3 days tour and economically. For example about 1000 RMB for each person. Is it possible?

Apart from the Great Wall and Forbidden City, you can also go to visit  Summer Palace , Ming Tombs, Temple of Heaven and Fragrant Hills Park in Beijing.  CNY1000 may be a little short if you stay in a nice hotel in Beijing.  Anyway, you'd better take more money.
