About:Chengdu Travel

what happens when the airport closes for the night and we have a layover in Chengdu?

If the Chengdu airport is closes for the night, and we have a 8 hour layover there, I assume we will have to leave the airport and go to a nearby hotel. Would we need a visa for China because we have to do this?

In this case, you can try to apply a transit visa at Chengdu airport, then you leave the airport and go to a nearby hotel.
