You can go to visit Macau in one day. Go to China Ferry Terminal at Tsim Sha Tsui to take ferry to Macau. It takes around one hour. The ferry usually operates from 07:00 to 22:30 in the day time with an interval of 30 minutes. You can only have a short view in Macau and better take ferry back at around 3pm from Macau.
