do i need an appointment for amendment of chinese passport?

When submitting documents to Chinese embassy, do I need to call for an appointment or could I just drop by and submit all required documents. I've been calling our local embassy but could not get through their numbers. How long does it take to amend the passport?

An appointment is not required for Amendment of Chinese passport, you can submit documents to the Chinese embassy directly. It takes 4 working days to amend the passport, if you need it urgently, the rush service or express service is also available if you pay for extra fee.
