About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

I am on L visa, staying for more than 6 months, do i have to get resident permit?

I am on L visa and staying for more than 6 months . do i have to get resident permit?? where shall i apply?/

Yes, you need to go to local Exit-Entry Administrative Department of Public Security Bureau to get residence permit because you will stay in China for more than 6 months. Generally speaking, L visa permits aliens to stay in China for 180 days at most.
