Is there any problem if I extend my visa in China?

please let me know is there any problem if i extend my visa in china.Bcz some of my friends extended their visa in china and now they are really worried to submit their documents for visa as some of them got refused.but i dont understand why they are refused as it is legal to extend the visa in china
Please help.

It's true that it is legal to extend the visa in China, however, it doesn't mean that you can certainly get a visa extension in China, if you can't provide enough document to prove you really need to stay in China beyond the stay duration of your China visa, the application will be denied.
