If HK says no, could Macau say Yes?

I have both italian and British passport, in hong kong i was denied visa to china on the brith passport because of some overstay records i previously had. So I want to go to Macau with the new italian passport and apply for a longer term visa, will they give me a one month visa on the italian passport? I already been to zuhai and shenzhen with it, and its clean. I have tried already to apply for china visa in HK with the italian passport, but they remembered who I was, probably they notified my name.. Thanks for answering if you will.
