How to get from Almaty, KZ to Lhasa?

Hello... I checked some other posts around here and I think the answer to my question is no, but still... is there a direct train or sleep-bus from Ürümqi to Lhasa? I will be in Almaty, KZ and will ge into China by bus but want to go to Tibet. Any suggestions? Thank you.

No direct train from Urumqi to Lhasa in fact. You will enter China from Xinjiang, China, right? Then you may have to take a train from Urumqi to Xian, and then transfer to another train to Lhasa.
