About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Who can I speak to so I can assure that they allow me into Shanghai for less than 48 hours.

I am from Canada, and travelling from Thailand to Canada. I have a stopover in Shanghai and would like to leave the airport. I do not have have a visa. And I'm in Shanghai for less than 24 hours. I have already booked my international ticket back to Canada, so I can show them for proof.

Holding a Canada passport, you can make an air transit in Shanghai without a transit visa if your period of stay does not exceed 48 hours, showing valid passport, visa of your destination country and connecting flight ticket. You are allowed to get out of the airport.
