I am a little confused about the three types of sleeping arrangements on the train. Do you mean the type of the train ticket, such as soft sleeper and hard sleeper?

Hi Cyril Bethell!

In Beijing, there are general three seats on the train : hard seat, hard sleeper and soft sleeper.

Seat is we can only sit.

Hard sleeper is sleeping, a room to sleep six people.

Soft sleeper is a room to sleep four people, and the bed a little faster than the hard sleeper and more comfortable.
