You can take bus from Huyue Long-distane bus station (near to Shenyang north train station) to Shanghai, but it is not advisable since it takes a long time. The best way is by air which is fast and comfortable. Well, there is also a bullet train travelling from Shenyang North Railway station to Shanghai. It departs at 06:32 and takes about 14.5 hours.
