Well, it is hard to get the train or bus ticket during your travel time since it is nearly the Spring Festival. It is the transportation peak time. You need to book the train ticket in advance. Well, you can not buy the bus ticket in advance, so if you want to take bus, you need to get to the bus station early in the morning to queue up.
