I will attend the conference at chengdu from 27 july to 1 August and stay at Tibet Hotel.

what is the weather during these period? can you suggest the place to visit, shopping and halal food restaurant around that

It will be hot and humid summer in Chengdu in July, so summer shorts will be ok. How many days will you have for visiting Chengdu? There are a number of musts here, you could get a full list on this page: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/sichuan/chengdu/ It is suggested that you choose some historical sites in downtown area, and then go to Chunxi Road, Kuanzhai Xiangzi and Jili for shopping and fun.
