How to prevent altitude sickness in Lijiang

Hi, I am thinking o f bringing my parents, aged 84 - 89yrs to Lijiang. How to prepare them for the altitude in Lijiang?

The average altitude in Lijiang is about 2000m. You'd better consult about your parents' personal doctor about their helthy condition and better prepare some relative medicine.
