I have been living in Taiyuan since December 2010. It's an interesting city in an interesting location in China. This is the cradle of Chinese business and banking.

I can say that winter can be very cold and dry. Once you get accustomed to how to live in the weather, then it's quite OK. The dry air makes the cold seem much warmer (Humid air feels cold and dry air feels warmer)

Currently the Summer is quite mild at 86 degrees F on 4 August 2011.
