do i need a transit visa as a norwegian if im going to transit in china?

i am flying from bangkok to sydney and changing flight in china. is this possible without a transit visa (or any visa of any kind)? i am a norwegian citizent. im staying in the airport for less than 24 hours.

No visa is required if you transit through Pudong Airport or Hongqiao Airport of Shanghai, provided tvalid passport, visa for the onward country, final destination ticket and have booked seats, and stay in Shanghai for less than 48 hours. For transit in other cities of China, you are also not required visa if you stay for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport.
