How do I hire a boat at the summer palace?

I am visiting the summer palace at the weekend and want to know how and where to hire a boat? which is the nearest entrance to place where you can hire a boat?

The boat could be hired beside the Kunming Lake. It's close to the front gate, the East palace Gate.
