I have Japanese residence visa. Do I need to visa for transit in China?

I want to transit to China.Please give me answer...

Can you tell me your nationality, how long time for transit? Which airport do you transit? Do you plan to leave the airport? After I know the information, I can tell you whether you need a China transit visa or not.
