About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Date of First Entry

At early April 2011. I notified my host of my intention to come over to China for a Business Trip.
Which He promptly files for an Official Invitation Letter from Government Authorised Unit. Fortunately,The Invitation Letter was Approved few days ago.

Meanwhile, on my Invitation Letter, April 24,2011 was stated as my date of first entry, but the invitation Letter was approved on the 9th of May,2011. Considering the fact that the date of my first entry has expired. I now intend traveling by June.

Now my question is , since the date of my first entry has expired, would it affect my visa chances at the embassy?

I would appreciate a prompt response to my question.

The invitation letter is valid for 6 months counted from the date of issuance. You can still use it to apply for China visa even though the first entry date April 24, 2011 expired. The invitation letter was approved on May 9, 2011, therefore, it's not your fault.
