About:Dali Ancient City

Travel from Lijiang (to Dali)

Hello,

I have 5 days in Lijiang in July. I would like to visit Dali Ancient City for maybe half day or so. What is the best way to get there from Lijiang?

There is a direct bus going therefrom Lijiang Bus Station. The bus fare is about CNY35-50 and the duration is about 3 hours.

How to make sure, when boarding a bus in Lijiang, that it goes to the Old City and not to Xiaguan?
Which bus station in Lijiang would be the best option?

It seems all the bus from Lijiang will stop at Xiaguan, but you can get off in advance at the old city. It is still about 11km from Xiaguan to the old city. This is the best way to avoid a detour.
