I will have a 7 hour layover on my way to london and was interested in a short hike up the great wall.Is this possible?

Well, i am afraid that the time will be very limited, Great Wall is not in the city area and it takes about two hours to drive from the airport to Great Wall, so if you want to go to Great Wall, you should plan a route in advance and hurry up during the tour.
