We are going to bring three new Ipad 2 for our three relatives as gifts, do we need to pay taxes in the China custome? what is the tax rate?  What about the old computers?thanksLisa

You have to pay tariff to China costoms for the Ipad2, and the tax rate is 20%.  For your old computers, if you will just take one piece each person, take them into China for your personal use, adn you will take them out when exiting China, then no tax will be required.
