About:China Tourist Visa

What type of Visa do I require?

I am attending an engineering conference for three days in Beijing. I am staying for longer than the three days (about a week) for some sightseeing. Do I need a Tourist or Business Visa? If I need a Business Visa, is an invitation letter from the conference chairman sufficient?

You need a business visa, the invitation letter from the conference chairman is sufficient. You can also use the business visa for sightseeing
