About:Chinese Embassy in Qatar

Visa for entry into China

Dear Sir/Madam,

It came to my knoedge that the Consular Section is closed from 08 to 26 May. I was supposed to attend and present on the annual Gas Turbine Conference which starts on the 16th, for which everything has been arranged, booked, etc.

What alternatives are there to arrange a visa to be able to still fly to China and participate in this event? Visa on arrival, expedited visa from Embassy/Consulate in UAE, etc?

If the Gas Turbine Conference can get an offiical letter from the local Foreign Affairs Office which states that you can get a visa on arrival from one airport in China, you can get visa on arrival, otherwise, you have to apply for visa through China embassy/consulate in UAE on a expediated service.

Actually that is not a bad idea. I had thought about UAE already but not getting a letter from the Conference.

Worth trying.
