visa for entry into china

Question

Dear Sir/Madam,It came to my knoedge that the Consular Section is closed from 08 to 26 May. I was supposed to attend and present on the annual Gas Turbine Conference which starts on the 16th, for which everything has been arranged, booked, etc.What alternatives are there to arrange a visa to be able to still fly to China and participate in this event? Visa on arrival, expedited visa from Embassy/Consulate in UAE, etc?Thanks,

If the Gas Turbine Conference can get an offiical letter from the local Foreign Affairs Office which states that you can get a visa on arrival from one airport in China, you can get visa on arrival, otherwise, you have to apply for visa through China embassy/consulate in UAE on a expediated service.

Actually that is not a bad idea. I had thought about UAE already but not getting a letter from the Conference.Worth trying.Thanks a lot
