About:Holiday Schedule of Chinese Embassies/Consulates

i am a Pakistani , living in saudi arabia jeddah , how can i apply for a tourist visa .

i went to the consulate and they asked me to provide an invitation letter for even tourist L.
why tourists have to provide an invitation letter .
any help ?

You need to join a tour organized by a travel agency, like this travelchinaguide, the said agency will send you the required invitation letter for Chinese group tourist application, as well as detailed travel itinerary if needed.
