About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

visa things

Hi,
Thanks for your time for reading these long email. I have a couple of questions regarding the residence as dependant.

My fiancée and me are planning to get married in London in Jane 2011 and possibly to settle in Hong Kong in December 2011.

Please see the summary of our background below, hope this will make you easier:

Fiancé - Nationality: British/ HKSAR - Stay in UK since October 2005
Fiancée - Nationality: China PRC - Stay in UK since October 2009 – July 2010 (Student visa), Sept 2010 – Nov 2011 (Student visa), UK Spouse Visa by Nov 2011

My questions are:

1. According to the section 9 in your website, will my fiancée qualified to apply as a dependent by the time of Dec 2011? As she has been living overseas for more than 1 year and she is my legal partner by the time.
2. If I apply a HK job as a working visa employee under my British nationality, will I able to apply the dependent visa for my wife?

Please advise and thanks for your help.

You are able to apply dependent visa for your wife is you apply a HK job as a working visa employee.

PRC passport holders who have resided overseas for not less than 1 year may apply for entry as dependants to join sponsors who have resided overseas for not less than 1 year and been admitted to take up employment
