About:Requirements for Permanent Residence Permit

I read above that if I have a new passport but still have a valid resident permit in old passport I can still clear China customs no problem by presenting both. However what if I wanted to apply to have the exisiting resident permit to be affixed in my new passport, what would be the procedure? Thanks in advance!

You can just take both your old passport and new passport until about 10 days till the permit expires and renew it as usual. No need to transfer your residence permit to your new passport, sir.
