Hello,We will arrive in Luoyang in the evening of May 20 and use Luoyang as the basecamp (hotel). We plan to visit the Longmen cave and other sites in Luoyang on May 21. On May 22 we like to visit Shaoling Tmeple, Shaolin forests, Songshan Academy, and ZhongYue Temple, the gates and the mountians. 1. Would someone let me know if this a a good plan?   2. Would stay in Luoyang evey night is the right thing? 3. Would we have enough time to see all of those historical sites and scenic Mt areas on May 22 ? 4. If not , would you pleas esugggest a better plan? 5. Would it be dust storm at this time of the year?Thank you.

I think your itinerary works, since there are direct bus from Songshan Academy to Zhuyue temple. There won't dust storm then in the mountain. I also advise you add Guanlin Temple (General Guan's Tomb) and White Horse Temple to your May 21 travel plan, sinc eyou have time to do that, and from Longmen Grotto, bus no. 81 can take you to Guanlin Temple directly, and then from Guanlin temple, bus no. 56 can take you to whitel horse temple directly.

Thank you Mr. Jack for your suggestion. I went to the book store yesterday and read about where we plan to go. A travel book suggests to use ZhengZhou as basecamp (hotel), not Luoyang. What is your suggestion? I saw a train from Zhengzhou to Luoyang Longmen station, is this the staiton where the Longmen Grotto is located? Thank you.

It takes similar time between Zhengzhou-Shaolin temple and Luoyang-Shaolin temple, so I don't think it make too much difference whether you stay in Luoyang or Zhengzhou. The only differnce may be that there are more transportation ways to reach Zhengzhou than Luoyang, since Zhengzhou is a capital city.
