About:Rabbit Personality by Blood Types

Hi, we are arriving in Beijing on Saturday this week 2/4/11 - and staying until Monday before cruising. Can you please tell us approx temps at the moment. We are doing tour of Mutianya Great Wall / Underground Palace (Ming Tombs) & Olympic Stadium. Also walking ourselves to Tianamen Square, & wondered - any suggestions on what we MUST see in the short time we have there? My daughter was told about Tin Pipe Ally, any ideas where that is or how to get to it?? and when is the best time to go there? I appreciate any advice at all please.

In the city area, you can visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. In the suburban area, you can visit the Badaling Great Wall or the Mutianyu Great wall and the Ming tombs. Since your time is limited, all the sightseeings spots above are enough for you.

Thankyou Ralph, for your reply, its very appreciated. I thought those were the ones to see, just didn't know if there was something that we MUST see before we leave. I've discovered that the name I was after was 'Pipe Tobacco Ally' - so we'll be looking for that, - anyone know where it is?? and how to get there??

I guess the place you mentioned is Yandai Xiejie (Skewed Tobacco Pouch Street), right? It is just located in the city center area and very easy to be reached. It is near to the Shichahai and Houhai, you can take a cab to go there directly, or take Subway Line 2 and get off at Gulou Dajie Station, then walk south 15 minutes to Yandai Xiejie.
