About:Simatai Great Wall

Hello all
I am hoping of visiting the Great wall at the end of august this year. We are 3 fit people, have about 14 days in a month long trip to China for the wall. We would like to visit around Pekin. I know Simatai is closed, and consider Jinshanling, but I want to see more. I was also hoping on camping around the wall, if on it is not possible. I wanted to hike a 100km on or around the wall, and was wondering about villages along the way to supply us with food. How possible is it?

I do not suggest camping in the Great Wall but suggest you stay and have meals in the villages along the way. Yes, Simatai is closes. You can go to Jinshanling, Mutianyu, Jiankou Great Wall. You can hiking at daytime and possible to arrive the next stop before dark. There are homstays, home hostels supply food also in the villages at the hill foot.
