About:China Train

I have to go to Nanjing from Shanghai PVG airport by train on April 16 afternoon. The exact time is uncertain at present. Please advise: (i) Is there only one class (economy) on the trains or Business or Upper class is also there? (ii)If it is necessary to book in advance or would it be easy to get the tickets and seat at the train station at the time of traveling? (iii) Are the names of the stations written prominently in English otherwise how would I know when the train arrives at Nanjing?Thank you in advance for any advise on this matter.

Great many trains are operating from Shanghai train station to Nanjing, including common fast trains, bullet trains and high speed trains. Unlike flight, the seat/berth types on trains are included hard seat, soft seat, hard sleeper, soft sleeper and etc. For details, you could refer to the info. on the page: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/tickets.htm

In case there are no tickets left on your arrival, you could book the tickets in advance. The train attendant will announce if the train arrives in Nanjing and they will remind passengers to get off the train timely.
