About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I am an English teacher in Korea. My ARC expires on October 27, 2011. I am an American. I want to fly from Korea to China to the U.S at the end of my year teaching in Korea. Can I get the 12 month travel visa? Also, I know I need the plane tickets, but I am planning on staying with friends instead of a hotel. Therefore, I will not have hotel reservations. Will my visa still be approved?

Now, USA nationals are hard to get the 12 months multiple entry L visa, you can try to apply for it, but you possibly get a single entry or double entry L visa. You don't need to provide hotel reservation if you stay with your friends, the invitation letter from your friend, the copy of his residence permit in China are required.
