About:Shanghai Metro Transfer - Line 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

There are two types of subway transfers in Shanghai : physical transfer and virtual transfer . I do not understand; can you explain??
Then, I want to go from Qibao station to Shanghai Circus World
I read that the train(subway)sometimes stopped at Shanghai Railway station and does not go further.
How can I be sure that the train goes to Fujin Road, which is actually the last stop of line1?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Marie

The physical tranfer means that passengers should exit from the subway station and take a free connection bus to another subway line. The virtual transfer means that the transfer could be finished in the subway station. Usually, it is suggested that you choose the second method, which saves money although take a little longer time.

From Qibao station, you cold take metro Line 9 to Xujiahui station and then transfer to Line 1 to Shanghai Circus World directly.

Some trains of subway Line 1 will stop at Shanghai Railway Station. So, you should notice the notice on the electric screens set on the platform.
