Money

Hi, are there two different types of currencies for Beijing/Shanghai and Hong Kong? Coming from the UK, is it best to change money once in Beijing or take some from here?

Yes. RMB is acceptable in Beijing and Shanghai, while HKD is acceptable in Hong Kong. You'd better change some RMB and HKD in UK before travelling to China.
