I am travelling to Beijing, Shanghai and Xian in early May what type of clothing should I bring and what will the weather be like

May will be warm in these cities. Both of Beijing and Xian are plenty of sunshine during daytime, but windy may happen at night. So you could wear a long-sleeved shirt and prepare a jacket. Shanghai is somewhat hot then when young locals do have summer shorts. However, it is also the rainy season, just prepare an umbrella.
