Could I enter the transit area of Beijing Airport Terminal 3 to see my friends?

Hello All,

I would really appreciate if someone could help me out. I am currently living in Beijing with a vaild visa. My partner is flying into Beijing Airport, Terminal 3 this Saturday for a stop over of 8 hours, he will then get a connecting flight to the Philipphines, his final destination.

Could someone tell me whether I will be allowed to enter the transit area of Terminal 3 where my partner will be? He does not have a visa so he will not be able to leave the airport, however I have a visa and would like to know if there is anyway I will be able to see him inside the airport while he is waiting for his next connecting flight.

He is flying with Air China.
