About:Ancient Chinese Marriage Custom

Hi, we were supposed to get registered not chinese ceremony this month but the groom's mother passed away suddenly last month. Should we continue to ROM within 100 days or wait after 100 days? What are the consequences of it? Thanks. I need an urgent answer. FYI, he is a Hakka chinese. Thanks.

I think you have to get married after 100 days according to the traditional customs of the Hakka Chinese.

Hi, what if it is just a civil registration ceremony. Does this apply? We won't be holding any chinese customary wedding within this 100 days. Thanks.

It is an old saying, Ms Lisa. Comparatively, the wedding ceremony is more important than in getting registered in the countryside. So, i think that's okay.
