About:Chinese Embassy in Egypt

Can my Egyptian husband travel with me to China if I will be working there as a teacher, and what would he need to do in Egypt to obtain an extended visa to stay with me as the husband of someone who has a working visa for as long as I will be working in China (a year, etc.)? Would he be able to change the visa/look for work after arriving in China? What do we need to do?

Thank you,

Lily

Your Egyptian husband can apply for a dependant visa to stay with you when you are working in China. The copy of your passport, work visa, alien employment license and marriage license are very helpful for his application for dependant visa. You'd better make the marriage license translated by a local notary license, then authenticated by Egypt Foreign Affairs Office and China embassy/consulate in Egypt, then the marriage license can be used in China.

If he finds a work after arriving in China and get all the documents for work visa application, he has to exit China to apply for work visa, then return to China.
