Question

Hi - am a bit confused. I have read all the info on the Summer Palace and the Old Summer Palace.I acknowlegse that the latter is mainly ruins etc. I know that the choice of both may be different to all visitors but which Palace site would be recommended to a first time visitor. Where is the subway stop ( can you get there ) for the Summer Palace ?Thanks - Jeff

I think summer palace is better for a first time visitor. The nearest subway should be Beigongmen Station at North Palace Gate or Xiyuan Station.
