About:China Transit Visa

I am a HK citizen and I am planning to go to Frankfurt by taking China Eastern Airline. I have more than 10 hours in Shanghai for waiting a transit. I would like to leave the airport for visiting my friends there. Do I need to apply for any document or pay any charges for leaving the airport with less than 24 hours?

Do you have the home-return permit? if yes, you can leave the airport for a visit.
