I have organised a professional guide in Beijing and he is taking us to the Mitianyu section of the Great Wall in Late March.We are going with a group of friends also.I have a problem with heights and certainly could not ride in a cable car.Is it possible for me to walk along the wall whilst not spoiling everybody elses visit particularly those who are brave enough to travel on the cable car?In case I am able to overcome my phobia what is the maximum height above the ground does the cable car reach ? Also what will the weather be like the last week in march? Any snow ?

I just know the destination of the cable is 640 meters above the groud. If you are afraid of heigh, I think you can go by slideway which is just on the ground. It is still a bit cold in the last week of March but the possibility to have snow is little. So, it will not affect your trip to the wall.

Do you happen to be going there from a cruise ship that leaves shanghai on march 20th? If yes, do you need more passengers? We have 2 people, trying to get from Tianjin to the Great wall.
