About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

I'm going to go Hong Kong this March from Japan and I already had my schedule of flight.
I will have my transit in Pu Dong for 4 hours on my way to Hong Kong and 12 hours on my way back to Japan. I understand that I don't have to make transit visa. But what about my luggage? All my flights are served by China Eastern Airlines. On my first coming to Pu Dong, do I have to take my luggage and re-check-in it in my next flight? Thank you.

If you are holding 'Through-check-in' ticket, no need to re-check your luggage during the transit at pudong.
